Joe Popp missed composing for the Jobsite Theater
group since he last worked with them on the production af MAXWELL
back in January/February
of 2002. Popp discovered they were going to do a series of original works based on the album
Murder Ballads by Nick Cave. Popp knew he would not be able to
perform in Florida so he asked one of the directors, David Jenkins, if he could submit a short film.
David has always been very supportive of Joe Popp's work and gave him the go ahead to submit for
the project. Popp ended up recording a cover of "The Kindness of Strangers"
and even acted in the film as the Medical Examiner. The show ran at The Tampa Bay Performing
Arts Center from August 1 - 17, 2003.
