Joe Popp is not your typical acoustic musician. His style is aggressive and raw with brief moments of calm introspection. Informed by his punk rock background, Popp’s performances are dynamic and energetic. His voice ranges from gravelly to smooth and is accompanied by a lightning fast strumming hand, chased down with abrupt chord changes. He refuses to ever sit down when he plays.
